Little Theatre of Norfolk and our “Fix the Floor” Fund
Many of you may or may not know that we are a completely
volunteer run organization and are in the process of a
capitol campaign to fix our floor. The entire cost to
fix both the floor of our seating area and our seats is up
around $220,000. This is a major undertaking for a
small community theatre such as ourselves so WE NEED YOUR
HELP!
ABOUT US
While we are in the midst of our 81st season here are a few
facts about Little Theatre of Norfolk you may not be
aware.
We are the longest continually running community theatre in
the nation.
We began four (4) years before the depression and have not
closed our doors.
During a time of World War we increased the number of
productions to include special military performances so our
active duty men, women, their families and our community
members would have a place to go and escape a time of war
if just for two hours.
We have begun educational programs with special opening
night discounts for full time students as well as
educational study guides for both children and adults to
further their theatre going experience. Which might I
add is an uncommon trait for a community theatre.
We have also increased our under 45 audience by over 20% in
the last year alone.
All of these wonderful attributes are due entirely to a
group of volunteers, subscribers, and donors such as
you. So I ask once again consider making a tax
deductible donation to Little Theatre of Norfolk,
