Little Theatre of Norfolk Inclement Weather Policy for Patrons and Volunteers

Little Theatre of Norfolk Inclement Weather Policy for Patrons and Volunteers The Little Theatre of Norfolk’s general policy is not to cancel any performances more than 24 hours in advance. However, we do not expect volunteers or patrons to put themselves in danger to return from an evacuation. Any volunteers running or performing a show should communicate their plans to the stage manager so that we can take into account cast and crew availability when making our calls.

The Little Theatre of Norfolk is in evacuation zone A. If there is a mandatory evacuation in effect 24 hours before a performance time, we will not have a performance that day. The safety of our volunteers and patrons is paramount. If you need to evacuate, please do so.

If a Zone A evacuation is lifted more than 24 hours before a performance we may hold a performance, however this decision will be made with the safety of our volunteers and patrons in mind. The decision to cancel a performance is made by the Board of Directors after consulting with the stage manager and director of the show about the safety and availability of actors and crew, and checking on the condition and accessibility of the theater.

Any patrons who are not able to attend their performance date due to a weather emergency have the following options:
-Go online to our website and exchange your tickets for your preferred date and time prior to the date of the missed performance.
-Contact the theatre as soon as possible after the weather event has ended by emailing tickets@ltnonline.org with the following information:
        -Full name
        -Date of missed performance
-Performance date you wish to attend
The Little Theatre of Norfolk will then exchange your tickets for the closest seats available on the new date.

Should a weather emergency come up on the last weekend of a show, the Little Theatre of Norfolk will work with any patrons wanting to exchange their seats for a different production on a case by case basis. This exchange cannot happen online, and must be done by emailing tickets@ltnonline.org

Please be safe during emergency weather events. We would like to provide the following information to assist with your decisions on how to best conduct yourself during a storm:
